Before you can build anything, you need an account. You can sign up yourself, or join an organization that invites you. Synolink CMS doesn't use passwords — you sign in with Google or a one-time code sent to your email.
Creating an account
Open the Create your account page — from the site's Start Free button, or the Sign up button under Sign In on the login page.
- Continue with Google — create the account with your Google account in one click.
- Email — enter your Email, then click Sign Up. A 6-digit verification code is sent to your email; enter it and click Submit. You're then taken to the login page to sign in.
You don't enter a phone number when you sign up. If you need one on your account, add it after signing in: open Profile from the Account menu in the header and use the Verify phone number card. Enter the number, click Send verification SMS, then enter the 6-digit code from the text message to save it.
Logging in
Open the Sign in to your account page (the Get Started button at the top of the site takes you there). Choose one of:
- Email — enter your email and click Sign In. A one-time code is sent to that address (the screen shows Verification code sent to: with your email); enter the 6-digit code and click Sign In again.
- Continue with Google — under Or continue with.
Don't have an account yet? Click Sign up under Sign In.
Joining by invitation
If your organization already uses Synolink CMS, ask an Admin to invite you from Team (see Managing Your Team).
- Open the invitation link from the email.
- If you aren't signed in, the Accept Invitation page offers Sign In or Create Account. After you sign in you're brought back to the invitation automatically.
- The invitation is accepted and you see Welcome to the team! Click Go to Dashboard to start working in the workspace with the role you were given.
Until you accept, you appear as Pending in the workspace's member list. You can also accept from there: find your own row in Team and click Accept.
Where you land after signing in
| Your account | Where you go |
|---|---|
| No workspace yet | Onboarding, to create your organization |
| Only one workspace, and you own it (Owner) | That workspace opens automatically |
| Anything else (several, or workspaces you were invited to) | A list of your workspaces — pick one to open |
After onboarding, Owners and Admins first see the Complete your setup screen, where you write your workspace's context document, before the dashboard. See Dashboard Basics for a tour of the dashboard.
