Onboarding is the form that creates your own workspace — your organization in Synolink CMS. It takes five short steps: pick your industry, enter your basic info, choose your markets and languages, and add your logo and colors. When you submit, the workspace is created and you land on its dashboard.
When you see onboarding
- New account, no workspace yet — after you sign in you're sent to onboarding automatically.
- Invited into other workspaces only — you can still create a workspace of your own: open the workspace menu in the sidebar footer and choose Create Your Own Saas Workspace.
- You already own a workspace — onboarding isn't available; you're taken to your workspaces instead.
Everything you enter here can be changed later under Organization Settings, except the App Name, which is fixed once the workspace is created.
Welcome screen
Onboarding opens on a Let's build your site screen. It explains what you get — a site built for your industry, basic info filled in from a single document, and a multilingual site with SEO analysis — and how long it takes. Click Start building to go to step 1.
How the form works
The header shows Step N of 5 with the current step's name and a progress bar. The dots at the bottom stand for each step — click one to jump to it. Previous and Next at the bottom of each card move one step at a time.
| # | Step | What you do |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | Domain Schema | Pick your organization's industry |
| 2 | Basic Info | Default language, name and introduction, address, and industry details — can be filled from a document |
| 3 | Target Market & Languages | Choose up to 3 countries to reach and up to 5 site languages |
| 4 | Media & Branding | Upload a logo and set brand colors |
| 5 | Review & create | Check everything and create the workspace |
Step 1 — Domain Schema
Select the domain schema for this organization — a template describing your industry, which decides what goes into Industry details in step 2.
- Use Search domain schemas... to find one by name, or narrow the list with the tag chips (Filter by tag).
- Click a card to select it. Next stays disabled until you've chosen one.
Step 2 — Basic Info
Everything about your organization on one screen. Upload a document and every field here is filled in for you.
Default Language: your site's default language. Search by name (e.g. Korean (South Korea)) or code (ko-KR). Document extraction and AI Autofill also write in this language.
Input method: pick one.
- Enter manually — fill in the fields yourself. Write the Introduction Context and click AI Autofill to fill the rest from it.
- From a document (OCR) — upload an image of a business registration, company profile or similar, and click Extract Text to fill the fields below.
| Field | What it's for |
|---|---|
| Organization Name | Your organization's name in the default language. |
| App Name (Alphanumeric) | A short identifier filled in from the name — letters and hyphens only. It can't be changed later. |
| Introduction Context | Required. Describe your organization, services, and what makes you unique. You can't move on while it's empty. |
| Location | Address, Address Detail (optional), Country, State / Province / Region, City, and ZIP / Postal Code. Leave the address empty to create the workspace without one — you can add it later under Organization settings → Location. |
| Industry details | The fields of the domain schema you picked in step 1. Hidden if the schema has none. |
Besides this screen, Extract Text and AI Autofill also fill in your languages and brand colors — and every value stays editable. A short guided tour explains the input methods the first time you open this step.
Step 3 — Target Market & Languages
Target Countries: choose the countries you want to attract visitors from — up to 3. The selection order reflects keyword priority.
- Search with Search countries... and click a country to select it. The country of your default language starts selected.
- Selected countries show their priority number (#1, #2, #3) and are listed under Selected target markets.
Languages: choose the languages your site will support — up to 5 in total.
- Your default language is already selected, marked (default), and can't be removed.
- Under Add More Languages, languages matching the countries above are marked Suggested, and the suggestions update as soon as you change countries. Click a language to add it, or search with Search languages....
- Under Selected Languages, you can type your organization's name in each added language (it defaults to the name from step 2). AI suggests the name in that language as greyed-out text; press Tab to accept it or Esc to dismiss it. Click ✕ to remove a language.
Step 4 — Media & Branding
| Field | What it does |
|---|---|
| Logo | Drop or select your logo (1 file, up to 5MB). Uploading a logo picks its main colors and fills them into the color fields below. |
| Primary Color / Secondary Color | Your brand colors. Keep the colors taken from the logo or set your own: click the swatch to pick from the color picker, or type a hex value (e.g. #1a73e8) in the field next to it. |
Step 5 — Review & create
A summary of everything you entered, grouped by step. Each section has an Edit button that jumps back to that step; after you change it, Next brings you straight back to the review.
When everything looks right, click Complete Onboarding. A confirmation dialog asks you to confirm — click Complete Onboarding again to create your organization, or Cancel to keep editing.
After you submit
Your workspace is created and you're taken to its dashboard. As the workspace Owner, you first see the Complete your setup screen — the last step of onboarding. Write one document describing your organization (or bring it in with Import file), then click Save and continue. After that, the dashboard opens — see Dashboard Basics. You can edit the document later under Organization settings → Context (see Context).
